Feb 21

Food:
Breakfast: 2 Slices Bacon on 1 Slice Wheat Toast w/ Little Lite Mayo
Snack: Cottage Cheese & Strawberries
Lunch: Grilled Chicken Salad w/ Little Cheese & FF Ranch
Snack: 1/4 Cup Almonds
Dinner: Taco Beef on 3 crunched up shells w/ Lettuce, Cheese, One dollop of Sour Cream, Salsa - (3 shells is 1 serving)
Snack: none

Water: 4 Waters, 1 Milk + Vitamin

Exercise:

Planned: Lower & Abs
Actual: Lower & Abs

Comments:
I was feeling a little down today. Kitten came in so well with her weigh as did Jennifer. I really need to get my butt in gear literally now. I'm still proud that I've lost 5.5 pounds overall and that's good.

Some thoughts: I think I'm lacking in the cardio area and I think that's why I'm not losing the weight as fast as I was at first. I'm working on that this week. I tried BFL cardio and it was good except my shins were killing me. I'm going to try to do some sort of intensity with the treadmill this week and see if I can come up with a good plan. Maybe we just need to go longer (30-40 minutes). That seems most likely right now. I would like to try to at least jog some of it, too. I did that on Sunday and it went ok. I just went back to walking fast when my shins started hurting.

I feel good about the weight lifting part of my workout though. I've been doing them well and this past week really focused on making sure I was really concentrating on the area I was working and doing my reps slowly. I felt more burn when I did this. Yesterday I went through my workout and increased several of my weights. I'm also thinking about changing up some of my upper body workouts b/c I don't feel like I'm getting a great workout there. It's good, just not great. I do really enjoy my lower and think it is a good routine though.

I've lost a total of 5.5 lbs overall and 4 overall for the GWO competition. It looks like Jen & I are tied right now and Kitten... Well she lost 4 pounds in 1 week. She's at 6 pounds lost total, but this competition is definitely not over yet! In fact, we are all really neck and neck and it should be a TOUGH competition. We have 8 weeks left of the competition so it's anyone's game at this point. I'm so proud of all of us though. Overall we've lost 14 GWO pounds!

Got some almonds over the weekend, which make a GREAT snack. They are balanced in carbs and protein and are just plain good for ya. However, picked up salted ones without thinking. Darn. Next time I will get unsalted ones.

I'm windy today!

Overall good workout today. I really concentrated on what muscle I was working and concentrated on my reps. It felt good.

Don't get down. You've been kicking our butts for weeks. Great job on the waters today. I also like the idea of almonds for a snack. I'll have to look into that when I go to the store tomorrow.
